Responsibilities:
Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
Manage the waitlist effectively, accurately estimating wait times and keeping guests informed.
Organize reservations and maintain a well-structured seating plan to optimize table turnover.
Escort guests to their tables and ensure they are comfortable and well-informed about any specials or promotions.
Engage with guests to build rapport, answer questions, and address any concerns.
Collaborate with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination of guest seating and service.
Handle phone inquiries and reservation requests with professionalism and efficiency.
Keep the host/hostess station clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Uphold the restaurant's brand and image by maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
Assist in maintaining a welcoming and clean ambiance in the restaurant's waiting area.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing role is preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable personality.
Ability to remain calm and composed in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills to manage guest flow and reservations effectively.
A positive and proactive attitude, with a genuine desire to create a positive guest experience.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the restaurant's operational schedule.
